Hey all! I looked at the calendar and thought it was time to post another picture.
OK, truthfully, I was stuck on this one part for the longest time, then took a break from it and returned to it just recently. So you're probably wondering what I got hung up on. It was the cave floor. Yeah, that's right. At first I was trying to do it all on the computer. But that didn't work out so well as I am very inexperienced with computer art. And it took a long time for it to finally hit me that I could actually draw it on paper, scan it then colour it. After that everything else was easy!
Alright, as for the actual picture. I am very satisfied with how it turned out. I really think this is an improvement from my last piece. Sceptile vs Mightyena: [link] And I really put an effort on the facial expressions too, as last time I got a comment from a friend saying they weren't intense enough. Well I think I've made them pretty darn intense this time (especially Lucario).
Now context.
Marcus was walking alone in a dark cave (not something you should be doing, it may look safe in the games, but don't let that fool you!). Then suddenly the unsuspecting trainer gets SLAMMED out of nowhere by an Aggron! Marcus gets sent tumbling across the cave floor, dropping his Pokeballs in the process. By some miracle, one Pokeball happens to open the moment it hits the ground. It's Lucario! His most trusted and loyal companion! Upon seeing the state of his friend, Lucario is suddenly sent into a rage as he faces the Pokemon who dealt the lethal blow.
How will this end? Will Marcus manage to come out of this alive? Well, I'll leave those questions to be answered by your imagination.
Here's an idea, give this a try while you are composing your comment. Make it a caption describing what you think is going on. You can make it a description, or write what you think the characters would be saying.
EX:
Lucario: You monster!
Aggron: Heh... I'm not the monster here, that one you are defending is the real monster. Now step aside!
And so on...
