The pack my Ash comes from was a pack comprised of canine Pokemon that at one point lived in the Prismatic forest. The leader and Ash's father was a mighty Arcanine who unfortunately was killed when Trivoli got tired of the pack's presence and massacred the pack with his dragon followers. Ash managed to escape with only a slash to her eye (and now because of a freak time rip when Jasmine tried and failed to return to the future). I have some backstory planned out and the pack is really old(originally broken up 20-30 years before Ash first made the team after traveling on her own in the old timeline).
So what I'm asking is that is it possible to merge your pack with the remnants of mine in the present, saying Umbra found and became the leader of the pack after she left Tao? Or even have her as Ash's sister who moved to Tao before wanting to return to her wild ways of her early life?
Again, I'm just really ecstatic that I found this since it meshes so well with what I already had planned for my character. If you agree with it, then I'll make it a point to have my Ash meet with Umbra in a future event or side comic.XD
(Also, is you pack ONLY Yenas of are you ok with adding more canine pokes in the pack? My original pack was mixed, but if you insist on only Yenas I can say that only the Yenas were brave enough to keep up the pack after the Trivoli attack.)
The reason why it is a Mightyena only pack is because it is based off of a rescuer mission back in mission 1. Rescuers were to save Sherri from a pack of hungry Mightyena. However, lately I have been thinking it would probably be more realistic if there were more than one kind of Pokemon in it. If you look closely at Umbra, though, you will see that she is wearing something a Houndoom has on it's chest on her neckless. That is because she defeated a Houndoom in battle. Just giving you a little something to work with if you wanted. Actually, all those bones she wears were that of an opponent she defeated. The Houndoom was just the toughest.
But yeah, if you want to use them for your story please feel free. And if you have anything you would want to know about them then you can ask me anything.
Also know, though, that when I created the forbidden fangs, Umbra started them when she was banished for not conforming to the rules of Tao. She gathered some like minded Pokemon and left the village. It was also a while since that happened. The forbidden fangs don't really trust outsiders, so they would probably need to prove themselves or something like that.
Heh, I had a little backstory rhough out about Ashes early pack life, and I had though of using a Manetric as a contender for her rightful place as pack leader after her father died, but I could easily use a houndoom instead. that might actually work better in fact. Then i could say after the pack was attacked and Ash disappeared, he became leader to the survivors in a small group. Then years later Umbra and her pack met him and killed him and let the other join her with her as their new leader. It not unreasonable to have gained a few followers in this way, especially from a small pack.
How do you feel about Umbra being a possible sister to my Ash? She could be her younger sister who was taken to Tao as a pup to protect her after the attack(and from the new houndoom leader). That way she doesnt remember much of her past or vaugely enough to want to live wild as she ages. If not, i can still work with it and have Ash recognize some of her pack members in the group, thinking its her pack(partly right) and challenge her saying she should lead them and not some village born mutt. Either way, it'll end with Ash convinced the pack's in good paws by having a strong leader that will uphold their old values.
Still i think the sister idea would be funny, since with the time jumps her little sister would now be older and stronger than her since she jumped time as an older teen.XD
The only family plans I had for Umbra is that she has 1 daughter who she had with an unknown father. Somewhere in Umbra's family tree, poison fang slipped in there. Originally I was planning to have her father be a Seviper. But also fire fang slipped in there too. Not saying Umbra can't have a sister. But if you can make it interesting then I say, 'why not?'
Umbra also has really menacing eyes that would really hinder a lesser mon.
I can easily put those moves in her father's move set along with ice fang, since I always imagined Ash's father to be the kind of mon who favors up close and physical attacks. Not to mention they are all from the Field egg group, so with a smeargle or something he could easily have all of those moves. And if he can't learn poison fang then I might say it came from their mother in a rare passing, or she was taught without being born with it. And Ash sharing the same eyes won't be a problem, since I've always given her a fierce stare. I just never specifically mentioned it since I figured it went with her fierce persona and upbringing I gave to her, like you could tell just by looking at her that she was a wild Pokemon that had no problem doing whatever it took to survive, killing included.
And I'll see what I can come up with until I decide to use the plan. I have plenty of time to work out the kinks until then.
However, that might be soon since Zola's somewhere deep in the forest right now, and she might end up running into Umbra.
All in all, they are very interesting NPC's, and I hope they get accepted!
Oh deer, well in that case, she better watch out, because Umbra is a cunning fighter, and she's not afraid to use Poison Fang or Fire Fang.
